I am considering another 22 semiauto. What has been the reliability of the S&W 22A and 22 Sport? Do they function relaibly with standard velocity ammo or do they require HV ammo?

I got a 22A when they first came out. It is my favorite handgun. Reliable and accurate with everything, this thing goes through Wildcat ammo like 17 year olds through a pizza buffet.

I love my 22A handles everything I put in it and is pretty accurate at 25 yards. Maybe I got lucky with mine but for $199.00 what more could I want.
I think you will enjoy one.

I love my 22A. It eats everything I throw at it. It'll never be a 41, but for what it costs, it does the job. Put a red dot sight on top, dial it in, and start to have some real fun!
