After hearing that the M&P45 bugs have all been worked out, I'm about to buy an M&P45 Compact. Since it's basically the same as the mid-sized gun, except for a shorter grip, I'm assuming the 10rd and 14rd magazines will fit in it.
Is this correct?
DO they make some sort of mag add-on where the 10 and 14rd mags will conform to the grip of the M&P45 compact? (I noticed the one pic I've seen of a 14rd mag did have a large base to conform to the M&P45--see link here:
http://smith-wessonforum.com/eve/for...5661041142/p/4

Finally, while I want the NON-external safety version, the only one I've seen locally has the safety--is it removable? That is, does the gun come with an extra pin that can replace the safety-hole if you decide to remove it?

Thanks.

#1- mags work in 45c
#2- Sleeves coming soon I hope. Contacted
guy on MP-Forum and he plans on making
them. His 9/40 sleeves work fine
#3- Safety-- Mag? or thumb?

Thanks 8th SPS USAF.

The external thumb safety is the one I was talking about--as a long time glocker, I'm just not into external thumb-safeties. I can order a non-safety version, but I was wondering--if it was an easily removable part--if I could do it myself. Might as well wait though.

I was leaning towards the 4" mid-size, 10rd, but if the compact can be MADE to be the exact same OR be shorter, I guess I may as well buy the compact.

I doubt I'll carry it very often anyway--my glock 23 rarely goes anywhere with me, since the KT P38T and Kahr P9 are so much smaller, thinner and more comfortable.

** Anyone have an opinion on HOW the recoil is on the M&P45c compared to a glock 23 .40caliber? I know it'll push harder, I'm just wondering if it'll have more or less muzzle flip.

I can't wait to get a M&P 45 compact, I felt it kicked less than the .45 full size.
