I was out shooting yesterday and there was a fellow my age teaching his grandson to shoot. They were using a model 22a. I asked him about it as I've never seriously looked at this model. He said that he had long been a fan of the model 41 but friends who had bought the 22a were routinely outshooting him and his 41 so he switched. Is this possible? Is the 22a a better choice for serious target shooting than the model 41?

The 22A is certainly a better value, but if cost were not a consideration; I would go with the Model 41.

I don't know about being a contender to the M41, but my 22A is very accurate. It's a great pistol for the money.
You can't go wrong with one in my opinion.

Not having shot a 41 and being cheap, I can only state that my 22a is a very fine shooting pistol. A great value especially in these economic times.

I recently bought the 22 A and took it to the Range to see how it performs. It did pretty well but I need to take some time to fine tune the sights. I am satisfied but probably will install a Reddot. I was sceptical about the 22A but after shooting it....I am keeping it.

I've been very impressed with my 22A. My only problem is I can't decide which I like better...my 22A or my 422 Smiler
