Well after several weeks and many, many costs of using grips to learn. I have came up with new CS 45 Grips manufactured from Hogue grips. I still love my factory factory plastic but these are much at controling the little cannon when firing. They are thinner than the factory Hogues and fit the hand perfect. I am unveiling these here but I will list them in the Classified section I will take orders there but due to time constrictions I am only doing 10 -12 sets.
Here is the first look. What do you think?

Well....Not quite at this time.
I work 2 jobs and this is a great way for me to wind down. I saw the post where members here made themselves ones from the Delrins and I knew I wanted to do it. I ask several questions and got many answers then I began to make them. Several people have purchased these from me and now several more have purchased the new customized Hogues.
I am only taking orders for as many as I can do. I am only making a total of 12 of these ones and now down to 9.
I wont start a business but maybe someday go to work for my friend TA from Top Gun Supply at his business.

Big Dog,
Can "Delrins" be made for a 4040PD?
What grip would you start with?
Thanks in advance,

bad man,

on a previous post, there was a forum member who said he had a factory delrin from a 3913 on his 4040.

so its a matter of buying a factory 3913 grip and a 3913 grip pin.

you retain the main spring cup and shuck the rubber panels and the hogue grip adapter.

he also said recoil was stiff.

here is the post. just scroll down to forum member "malph"

The above is correct.
You can bank on SW CQB 45 he has answered several questions for me that have always worked.

Thanks Big Dog,
I saw that post and the reply, but it really was not a definite answer being that he said that they take different hogues.

4040 part number for hogues 27644
3913 part number for hogues 13010

Update
Just got this from the Hogue website:

Gun, Code Model, Notes
13 Compact 9mm, Single Stack Mag. Fits models: 3913, 3914, 3953, 908,etc

-Will fit 4040PD

These are compact (short grip) single stack magazine 9mm caliber semi auto pistols.

Our grips are a two piece that replaces the one piece stock grip. These grips are a straight backstrap design that installs using a mainspring retainer and screws which come with the grip. The mainspring retainer is pinned into position with the pin that holds the stock grip on. The mainspring retainer provides the threaded bosses that the grip panels screw into.

-will NOT fit 3913 Tactical S&W
-will NOT fit CS9

They are referring to hardwood grip panels.
So, they take the same ones.
Regards,
BM1
