I was at my local gun shop today and they just got in a 100% (just no box) factory fired only 1006 for $499.00 I always wanted a 10 mm , im mostly into revolvers. The 1006 has fully adjustable sights and 2 mags. It seemed like a decent buy so it came home with me. Is this a good price for this gun? Thanx in advance

Great price for your 1006. Dealers cost new was $730. In 2003 they were reselling for about $400. , but in the last few years they are going in the $625. range for used ones. Surely your next quest will be for a 1066 semi and 610 revolver. Enjoy

It's a great pistol! I am very pleased with mine that I picked up a little over a month ago in 99%+ condition with two mags. You done good.
SIDE NOTE: Look at the magazine bases and note that it says "10mm" on the bottom front of the base instead of "S&W" like all the other 3rd generation pistols. They were mighty proud of those 10mm pistols when they put them out.

Those are a couple nice looking targets, you shoot very well. What loads are those, maybe a good place for me to start.

I'm not sure whether that was Federal American Eagle 180 gr. FMJ factory ammo or if it was my own ammo (Hornady 180 gr. FMJ over 7.0 grains of Unique with a Win. WLP primer). Frankly, the two loads shoot so close to one another, it really doesn't make a difference.
Oh, and thanks for the compliment, too. |
