Lately I have seen aftermarket tactical rails for 1911s. Does anyone know if I can find one for my 4506-1? I would like to use my .45 as my nightstand gun but the Glock won the battle because of its rail.

The Novak 1911 mount is a pretty close fit. Here is one they put on my 4546.

I have a police trade in 4003TSW that did not have the rail. Does Smith have them available for models they produced?
