Does anyone know if there is such a thing? I think this little pistol would be neat with a suppressor on the end. I've seen 442's with threaded barrels. Are the 2213/2214's built on the same actions? Could I get a brl for a 442 and have it cut/threaded to work? From looking at schematics (e-gun parts) they are the same design, different lengths. I'm just milling all this around in my head.....

There are a couple of companies building replacement barrel nuts for the 422/622 that extend a bit beyond the front of the receiver and are threaded for most of the popular rimfire suppressors. If your 2213 has the barrel nut it should work on your gun. You keep the original barrel and just change out the nut. I have one for my 422 but it is not mounted right now so I can't show you a picture. You can find the vendors on the class III suppressor or parts sections of the popular gun broker site.

It's kind of a pain removing the original barrel nut. I built a makeshift spanner out of a copper penny to unscrew it. The replacement suppressor adapter nuts are built to easily mount with a wrench.

The 422 type Smith is ideal for a suppressor as the low frame mounted barrel is well below the sights so you can easily use the factory sights without problem.

Check your local and state laws and make sure it's legal to have a suppressor adapter as it is not allowed in some states (California ?). Information on purchasing suppressors and the process to legally possess them can be found on the class III forums and most manufacturer's web sits.

akviper,

Thanks for the reply. I looked on GB, and found the part you spoke about, it will indeed fit a 2213. This is a heck of a lot cheaper than having one of my Rugers rebarreled or threaded. Thanks again.
