Just purchased my first S&W revolver this week. It is a model 25-13 Mtn Gun, and it will be heading to the range tomorrow. I have owned Ruger and Springfield Armory pistols for quite some time, and have been shooting for more than 30 years. I bought this handy shooter to be a constant companion, I plan to carry it open, and CCW depending on the circumstances (both are legal in NM). I cast my own bullets, and love to shoot, especially revolvers, single action or double. I am also a big fan of the venerable 45/70, and some other rifle calibers. Retired from the Air Force after 20 years the end of '06, and am currently working as an electronics tech for the government.

Thank you one and all, first time to the range with the new shooter holds promise, just need to find the right combination of powder, I am shooting the RCBS 270-SAA.

Hi Dave welcome to the forum from SE AZ(my closest Post Office is in NM. If you are not far from AZ and you don't have a CCW. Consider a AZ non-resident. It is easy to renew 8 hours and lasts longer, and all works the same.
