I don't know squat about S&W revolvers and I'm really not very educated about weapons in general. I have been racing motocross and off road motorcycles all my life. Many broken bones and too many miles on this body, I am changing hobbies. I am a U.S. Army vet and proudly fly our flag on the front of my house. I need help identifying a S&W 38 Special that I picked up a few years ago. I bought this revolver from a friend of mine who was very involved in shooting, but we have since parted ways. I gave him a hundred bucks for it and promised him that if I ever was to sell it, I would give him first shot at buying it back. I really don't want to sell it. I just want to know what it is.
I can supply photos and numbers.
