Hello, I am John from the Netherlands.
And YES…. I bought my First S&W model 27-2, and YES I am a very proud owner of this beautiful revolver!!!
Kind of hard to explain to an outsider, but here people will understand.
I have been looking around on the forum for a short while to get an overall feel of what is going on here, and I like what I found. Enthusiastic people and a lot of knowledge on many different issues.
The gun gives me some problems, so I hope to find my answers right here.
Well, in the right topic of course.
Glad I have found you.
Regards, John.

Welcome! This is by far the best of the American gun forums.

Welcome to the forum. Nice gun. How are the gun laws in your country compared to other European countries?

Bill, Universal, John and Animalmother, thanks.
Makes the world a little smaller Smiler

Gun laws in Holland are strict and have changed over the last four years. On one permit you are allowed 5 guns, and you have to be a member of an official KNSA shooting club. The kind of disciplines you can shoot in this club determines the kind of weapon and/or calibre witch you can carry.
My disciplines are:
4.5 mm airgun
small calibre:
.22 pistol 10 meters
.22 pistol 25 meters
big calibre:
.357, .38 revolver 25 meters.
And I love to shoot a black powder gun ones a while.
Be glad you live in the US.
I envy you sometimes for your possibilities to possess guns.

Regards,
John.

Yes, after hearing about European gun laws, I have very lucky to be living in the US. Even more so after the Heller decision from the US Supreme Court last week.
