Hi Rusty Trigger, Welcome to the forum. My wife has kin folk as far south as Ozark, Illinois. She hails from Mt. Vernon. We now live in Maine.

Howdy Rusty, can you really throw one across the Ohio? I am originally from Southern Illinois and went to college at SIU. Now live in Alabama. Like you I hope to learn from this forum. Good shooting. By the way do you still have that FOIC in Illinois?

WoW, looks like the welcome committee was waitin for me. Thanks everyone for the open arms welcome, I'm not use to such a turnout.

Top Sergeant - I think my backyard is the Ozark City Limits. Actually I'm just south of Goreville but I've been to Ozark a million times over the last 40 years, nice folk over there too. It's not even a 15 minute drive from my house.

Buckboard Jim - I went to SIU for a spell myself. Almost every Oct I end up at Talladega down there in Alabama for my annual NasCar FIX, the other 35 weeks I'm in front of the TV. Yes Illinois still has the FOID (Firearms Owners Identification) commonly known as FOID. Funny thing is you can't buy ammo without the card in Illinois but I get most of my ammo from Able Ammo (Texas I think) they ship it to me, no questions ask, UPS) I got nothing to hide, I'm legal (except for the mental part is questionable hahaha) Yea ya caught me lyin again. I can't throw no rock across the Ohio River but I durn near wade across it.

Thanks for the warm welcome wagon folks, I'm gonna love it here....

At Your Service,
Rusty Big Grin Trigger

Rusty Trigger zooming in even further the kin folk are from Stonefort. Bynum, Ingram, & Dorris are surnames. Coalminers by blood on the wifes side. Carrier Mills is also dear to the family.

Hey Top, everything you mention is right here where I am. I'm sorry to say the names don't ring any bells but Ozark and Stonefort them towns I pass through them every time I go to Harrisburg, IL., Carrier Mills too. I know a unusually high number of people from all these little towns. I used to work Area Maintenance Tech for the Gov. My job was to provide electrical work, A/C & heating, remodeling, etc, safes, vaults, flag pole ropes (haha) they used to say if it belonged to the government and didn't work I was suppose to that I should be able to fix it. Mostly to the smaller Post Offices that did not have a maintenance crew or able to hire needed work locally. And then again I'm terrible one names anyway. If a purdy girl were to tell me her name, address, tele number, serial number on her car and other numbers that pertain, well I'd remember everything except her name, mine too if it wasn't on my drivers license. I ask the doc one time if I was in the beginnin stages of Alzheimer's and he said "nope, you just don't pay attention"...boy was I glad to hear that, I thought I might be sick there for awhile.
