I don't think we are supposed to post links to GB so I won't but there is a guy advertising a "Unfired" 29-2 there that I think has been reblued. The barrel has the classic half assed reblue red tint, and the trade mark looks rubbed out.

I was wondering what anybody else thought. BTW, I don't want the gun, I have enough.

Thanks

Direct links are agin the rules, but all we're doing is looking at pics...

This 'un?

The barrel looks a bit plum, but that might just be the lighting.

Ask the seller, that's why they put the option there.

Looks like the guy taking the picture might have been wearing a red shirt. The barrel markings look strong & clear.

If I were interested in that gun, I'd mention the suspicious color and would politely ask for a better/close-up pic or two taken from a different angle. I also wouldn't hesitate to ask about the side plate marking. Most digital cameras are capable of high enough picture quality to get a good pic of a side plate marking, but not everyone knows how to get the most out of their camera. This may be the case in this particular situation.

I think you are seeing a mirror finish on the gun. Looks like a true blue to me. Roll marks, edge's look sharp, down the line to me. I hate to see what it will go for, and I bet he ripped some old man off for it (hoping not true). Some guys live to do that, they have to live with thier self.

i don't believe it is fair to advertise a gun as "unfired" unless the owner bought it new and never fired it. i consider these guns to be mint condition, not nib.

I asked the seller for some additional pictures and he very politely emailed four more pictures that were taken outside.

Unfortunately, the barrel still looks to be a different color than the frame. Oh well.

I have one that is unfired. There is no flame cutting. The pistol case is new, so is the paperwork etc.
You can tell if you know where to look. A picture won't show much.
