My choice dilemma is between the 24-3 from Lew Horton and the 629PC Carry Comp. Choices...choices.

As a piece to add to your collection, great. To carry every day: too big, too heavy, unnecessary power level unless downloaded. Yeah, I know it's being done but carry it eight hours a day for 20 years then tell me how easy it is. I personally like the gun but a daily carry it's not.

Wayne, Do you own the 24 or the 629?

A bit late, but I love the 629 carry comp (from the performance center).
*Great* SA trigger. Very nicely-made.

My wife is new to guns and that is the first gun that she really likes, both to look at and shoot.

Very manageable with short barrel 44mag loads as well as 44sp loads.

Hey Is sorry it took so long to come back. I had a 629 with adjustable sights. Practically the same weight and bulk. I am serious about your carry comp being a great gun and if I had one I'd certainly have a rig to carry it hidden. Still, it's a big heavy gun for every day and you will find that you'll be leaving it behind more than you have it with you if it's going to be your only carry piece. Not a good situation to be in if you think you need to carry in the first place. Not trying to discourage you but I've been in your shoes, just wish someone had convinced me to go smaller and lighter. I think it would be a lot of fun at the range with some 44 reloads and a good woods gun once you get it regulated with the fixed sights. I like it.
