Whats the newest edition of the Gun Book of values? Mine must be last years issue. And what does it list a Model 66 LINB value at? I spoke with a dealer today and his said his books value was almost $100 more than the issue I have. I think my issue is the 26th. Have prices increased that much?

The 29th Ed is current, as has been posted. The online version is updated quarterly with the last 2008 update due in October. So, 29-1/2.

Here's the E-mail I got to that effect:

quote:
Dear Blue Book of Gun Values online subscriber:

We are pleased to announce the second quarter updates for the Blue Book of Gun Values online database have now been completed. As you are aware, these updates are available quarterly, and the last update for the remainder of 2008 will be Oct. 1.

New updates immediately available include:

• Major additions to the Harrington & Richardson long guns section, including an all-new pricing section.
• Price revisions and informational updates for the entire High Standard section.
• Multiple SHOT Show updates from the most recent SHOT Show in Las Vegas.
• Many corrections and revisions on collectible guns and their values.
• Completely updated Trademark Index reflecting the most recent information on all current domestic and foreign gun manufacturers, importers, and distributors.

Thanks again for your support for our online products, and this informational format is by far the most up-to-date in the firearms industry today.

Sincerely,

S.P. Fjestad

And. of course, there are a few Dealers who use the Web and Auction Sites for Values. Why shouldn't they keep current?
