I found a nice 19-4 in excellent condition. P&R, target sights. No box. What's one of these going for, fair market value? I know what the Fjestad and 3rd Ed. S&W Catalog says. But I think those values are a tad conservative these days. A couple of pics to help with the opinion giving. Thanks.

Here is a possible data point. I have bought two 19-5 snubbies in the last few months, both in excellent condition and shown below. I paid $550 for the blue one and $445 for the matte one.

I recently sold a DEAD MINT 19-4 2.5" for $600 shipped on the classifieds, and the buyer was extremely pleased with it. It had the somewhat unusual combination of being P&R and having RR WO. Many P&R guns will not have the RR WO. Hope this info helps.

Well, I called the guy that had/has it. He had it listed on a web site and that's where the photos came from. We agreed on a price and I sent him the money. So, I guess it'll be mine shortly. Thanks for the input!

Sold one a couple months back, 19-7 2 1/2" but had some holster wear. Let a friend have it for $350.

An update for anyone that cares. The serial number on the above discussed piece is 91K 2***. That puts him around 1980. Not bad for age twenty eight. Smiler

I paid $495 plus shipping for one about a year ago. It was in excellent+ condition. It was a 19-4, P&R.

I'd say one would be work that now at least, probably $500 to $550.

Firehouse, that is pretty sharp. I want one of those, but settled for a 13-3 with the three inch barrel. That 2.5" incher is the only variation I would settle for trading this 13 for. Hope you enjoy it!
