While visiting a dealer here in Fort Lauderdale to pay on a lay a way for a 1956 M&P 38,, he said he had an old Smith and Wesson 22 he had taken in on trade at the last gun show. But it wasn't going to be cheap.
Then he produces a nice model 34-1,4" Ser.M101004(1978) in 95% condition(because of scratches on the cylinder)
Price '$349.00 but I can have it for $$325.
So I trade an old Hi Standard revolver and $280 cash money and run out with this sweet little Kit Gun.

The next day I shoot it at the range (Markham park) and now I know why all you guys rave about the Kit guns.
They are too cool to shoot.
Inexpensive, accurate ,fun to shoot.

Here are the pictures ...........

Good luck! the deals are out there, Al

Thank God I only have the Smith obsession ,, ,If I had any others ,they'd probably kill me.

Oh man I love the stocks. I tried to get a collection of these going, first round butt then square, but every time I bring one home my wife takes it to the range. So...I gave up. They are fun, aren't they!

Beautiful little 22 and great pictures, too Wink

My 4" 34-1 wears those grips as well, ust seems like they were made for each other.

As we say down here, that's a "purty thang".

I love the grips. Wonder how a set like that would look on a Model 63?

That's a super little 34 at a great price. I've been shopping for one and everything on the internet 98% or better is priced way too high.

Congrats on a great find!

let us know what kind of groups you get with what brand 22lr ammo. Mine loves CCI minimags, CCI stingers.I shoot seated with 2hand hold rested on a bag. At 15 yards I can shoot under an inch 5 shots once in a while .Usually it around an inch-1.25".I too have the target grips. One thing with the rear sight though is its a bit narrow in the slot opening.
