Your pics are hard to tell condition - can't tell if there is damage or not.
I'll give you my opinion based on what I see [and if in good used condition]. Top and botomm pictures J & K rd/sq magnas $25-35 N target look nice $60-80 K diamond magnas - one on right looks nice $75 (left look extremely worn 20-25) Cant help you on Herretts Good luck with your sale |

That new middle picture looks like n frame diamond magnas - they would be a little more valuable than K's (IMO). Hold them up to a K frame set for comparison

VM.
I think you are right. Upon closer inspection the first pair is a little bigger than the second pair. I just grabbed them out of a drawer and did not pay close attention. |

No guessing - N frame Magnas have more girth to them on the outside and are quite obvious - alot of people don't have measuring devices Smithnut! ( I do like your method) |

VM,
I agree that is some cases - especially side by side - one can tell. In other cases, without a S-B-S comparison, and in many pics, grain can make a grip look wider (or narrower) than it really is. Another thing, Magnas can be easy in the S-B-S comparison area, but when it comes to Targets - that's a totally different thing, you gotta be good to tell the difference as with the pics above. As for measuring devices, the .250" really is a fancy say of saying 1/4", and any old ruler should get you there.... |

This is a good time to ask, please excuse my ignorance
what is the proper name of the metal thingies (discs) inside the grips? what is their purpose? which grips have them? Thanks in advance |

Absolutely Not. "The only dumb question is the one not asked" I call the metal disks "washers" They have two purposes. They hold/secure the stem of the medallion and they are also a locator/stabilizer for securing the grip to the frame. The top half of the washer fits into a half moon slot. The bottom of the grip has a butt pin locator hole that fits snugly on a roll pin in the butt. The combination of the washer and roll pin secure the grips to the frame along with a screw that fastens the two grip panels together. All Magna and Traget style grip used the washers until they were eliminated mid 80's I believe. |
