I've shown this pic several times lately, but this one has truly become my "safe king." In fact, it's at my side right now.

Giz,

I LOVE this little revolver, I've seen you post this pic several times. What is the model number? Forgive my ignorance...don't know much about the older Smiths. Is that a stock barrel length?

If you ever need to get rid of that one...I'm first on the list!

All of these except the Nickel 19 get shot regularly. If somebody doesn't trade me out of that 19 soon, it's gonna get shot a lot too.

Here is my 642. I bought it new. When I was younger and tougher I ran about 12 miles a week. I carried this gun in a leather fanny pack. This gun has logged literally thousands of miles soaked in sweat. It has really pretty grips on it, too. Wink
All that bouncing around has worn through the finish in spots but who cares.

A 4 inch 28-2 doesn't spend much time in the safe.

Here's one I don't worry about packing or shooting. It's a 686+ Mtn. Gun, and is a great shooter. Regards, Jerry

All of my guns are Safe Kings, even if they are still like new (until I put more wear on them!).

Here is one of my favorites. 1950 Target in .44 Special. Has honest finish wear and the remnants of a non-factory front sight insert. Shoots great and it is in my field gun battery. Hope to take a deer with it someday, just to say I did. Will use my own Lyman 429421 hollow-point cast bullets. Smiler

Since July, this gun has seen LOTS of range time. It's a busy gun.

Some nice working class guns here!

My nomination for my own safe king would be the 29-3 that I bought new in the late 1980's. Shown here taking a well deserved rest after banishing a gang of tin cans Big Grin
