They are very nice.
I have 2. 10 oz. unloaded with the houge bantem grips, which make it the lightest 38 spl./+P revolver ever(i think). no longer made, so get it now. |

IIRC the price was $650 with a padded case. Pre-lock, I am pretty sure.

The AirLite 342Ti is one of the lightest Revolvers ever made by S&W, The 317 is the lightest in 22lr with an aluminum cylinder, & carries better than anything I've ever had, It's the go with me everywere Revolver..
I picked mine up 3-4 weeks ago New In Box for $550, Mine is an early 1999 model & came with Dymondwood grips factory, See Pic of the 342Ti in the middle surrounded by My 940 & 642 Airweight.. I would think that $650 would be a Decent price, Have a Look in your area for a new 340 or 360 & compair those prices.. BTW all Airlite 342Ti Are Pre-Lock Good Luck!! I just noticed this post after I posted a question on the value of a 342.
After looking at this post, I have to ask , what is a 342ti as compared to a regular 342? HeadKnocker - Nice revolvers there. I really like the grips. |

The 342 is a Titainium Cylinder & that S&W Called it, AirLite Ti stamped on the tight side of the revolver..
The Early 1999 342s came factory with the Dymondwood Grips, I have an extra set that DC7 Hooked me up with, Seen in the background of this pic.. These are very Hard To Find.. You should see if you can aquire the one your looking at.. Good Luck Cobra44 Gary/HK |

That's a decent price for a pre-lock 342 in new or like-new condition. One went up for sale on the forum Classifieds yesterday for $615, and it sold in THREE MINUTES. Nothing beats a 342 for pocket carry. It's so light you barely even notice that it's there. |

Here’s the Ti:
PD: The black finish is more durable. The PD came with a red ramp front and Hogue grips and is a little lighter. The Ti came with Uncle Mike’s. The cylinder flutes are deeper on the PD too. Great pocket guns. NRA Endowment Life Member NRA Certified Instructor, RSO OGCA MAAC MUCC |

I don't have my S&W catalog with me now, but I'm pretty sure that S&W did make the 342's both without AND with the lock.
