I want everyone to know what this man is doing. This has been a long time coming. I have avoided saying anything while trying to rid the forum of this pest, but this tears it.

Parabellum,

Thanks for the heads up. Can we start mentioning Fugate Firearms, over, and over, and over, and over, so that a Google search reveals us instead of him? With the comments attached? What a turd.

Just a curious thought from an evil part of my mind Smiler.

There are several postings about Fugate and his dealings with members of S&Wforums. Mostly bad, occassionally some good. He was banned from here and found again when he tried to sneak back in. That should tell you something.

I called him about a 4 digit Centenial he had listed described as 96% condition. It looked like it was battleship gray, not blued. He said he wipes the guns completely dry before photographing them so any details show up. I've seen many of his for sale photos and his details are always good. Just the same this one's finish looked like it was gone.
Where he completely lost me is when he said, and I quote, "the older S&Ws were not as highly polished as later ones were".
What total b.s. I'm sitting here with an early 98% Centennial with a highly polished deep blue finish. Likewise for a minty M&P Airweight 2"bbl rd. butt w/aluminum cyl., or my 1960 Mod 37 no dash, and my nearly mint Mod 58.

Yeah, so this "gent" assumes his caller knows nothing about S&Ws and figures he can tell me anything and I'll believe it. I'm not an expert but I'm not a novice either.

Personally I wouldn't buy squat from him.
If I get a similar email I will not only cuss him out I will block his emails from ever coming to my PC again.

I too received an email from him - since I'm protected by "Mailwasher" mail handling program, it was shown as "Not for me". this program allows me to look at he content of the email without opening it, and promptly got pushed into the SPAM/Blacklisted category.

Is it time to go to a PM system instead of publishing everyone's email?

I 100% completely agree! In fact I made a thread asking about this exact thing in the Office forum. Apparently no one else cared as it got a grand total of zero replies.
