In that regard the Fugates continue to monitor the forum. And try to snipe S&W's from uninformed members. Beemerguy53, no matter what the Fugates want to tell you about all of their satisfied customers, know this, those customers simply didn't know of all the people cheated and lied to so Fugates would have a gun to sell them --- it's the way they will cheat and lie to others to gain their own profit that galls me. Also, you should pay attention to the "foul language" they will readily use if & when someone displeases them -- thats been documented on numerous occasions (see the negative feedback listed under "Fugate Firearms" and also under the name "lastbidder" on GUNBROKER. They use 2 different listing names on GUNBROKER -- I guess to mislead others as to the actual number of "negatives" they accumulate.) There are hundreds of "honest and trustworthy" gun dealers --- the Fugates are a black-eye on all of the good guys out there that don't cheat and mislead the people they deal with. Why do business with liars and cheats (Fugates) when there are plenty of honest dealers work with!!! Well-said, Don! I would never deal with Fugate anyway -- I determined that when I got that first unsolicited e-mail from them -- but it's good to be reminded of their business practices nevertheless, just in case somebody on here might not know their reputation, or might be inclined to think they are trustworthy. I have been watching this thread for a while now. I have been a member of this forum since 2004 and have seen the fu**gates buy out from under and then offer to sell at an inflated price a couple of times. But I can't believe what I just experienced. I have been looking for a 4" 657 for a while now. I just missed one on the forum a while back for $650. I then saw a Lew Horton 4" 657 "One of 39 Made" on gunBroker go for $950. A bit to high for my blood. But now on GunBroker the fu**gates have one with no box, used, nothing special for $1100! OH MY GOD - is it wrapped in gold or what? Is this a joke or are they really serious? I sold a 3" 657 limited #12 of 150 made for $600 on the forum a while back and thought I made out like a bandit. But this is just unbelieveable. What a bunch.

Ok, I expressed my shock. then a half hour later I get this:
Donn, If you have any 4 inch 657's in good condition, I am paying 1000.00 for nice unboxed guns with correct grips, no mods, no scratches. and 1200.00 for new in the box perfect examples. These guns bring better prices than 3 inch guns , for me anyway. I know my prices may seem high to some people, but I have to pay large prices to obtain these type items. I sold a NIB 657 4 inch for 1600.00 and have a want list from a group of investors standing in line for items like the 4 inch 657. Keep your eyes open, I pay good prices and will buy one or as many as you can find. I am also on the hunt for NIB 58's I will pay 1300.00 for Blues and 1500.00 for Nickles, but must be 100% fired every other hole. You're not wrong. Snubbies was kicked off of this forum three times under the names of Roniva123, MarionB, and Gayle. What name did he register under this time, and have you notified para about it? He bought a Detective Special on the Colt Forum and immediately posted it for sale and used the original seller's pictures. When it was brought to the attention of a mod, the mod felt that it was perfectly okay to do so.

I've read most, if not all, 22 pages dedicated to the Fugate clan and I still have a question. Do I understand correctly that they will purchase a firearm, then damage it intentionally to get a lower price?

I have no details of a specific incident, but I "heard it on the street". Others here might want to chime in with more detailed info. Regardless, if you have read this whole thread, and are STILL considering buying from people who have at the very least a defective moral compass, then all I can say is Good Luck to you. Don't complain to us if you get burned. It's not as if you weren't warned. Nothing goes together better than blued steel and fine wood. |
