Hey saltydogbk, when I was a kid I was stupid enough to pick up a "cotton-mouth" snake. I was lucky that I wasn't bitten. Well, I'm not stupid enough to try it again.

The same things hold true in dealing with the "Fugates" --- if you are stupid enough to deal with them a second time, the odds are that you will be cheated or taken advantage of --- If you will take the time to read this thead and the other one in the LOUNGE you might learn that Matt & John Fugate and poisonous snakes have a lot in common. Most of the members of this forum are smart enough to avoid them.

Excellent analogy and comment, woodsltc. If you deal with the Fugates, eventually you will get bitten!

Unless you're a Fugate plant, it would serve you new guys well to read the whole extent of this thread to understand what's going on . . .

Thank you, smith1961. My QUESTION was in reference to cmannie buying FOR Fugate and selling FOR Fugate. I never professed to know the laws, but I know most BATFE-related laws are very strict.

Does anyone have some mouthwash? Cause I'm about to eat crow, and I don't like it much. That one rifle I bought from them...brand new(?) Went to shoot yesterday for the first time and the action stuck open. Will return to Henry rather than deal with Fugate.... So I guess I wasn't that lucky when I picked up that snake....

You can never have too many guns, or too much ammo

Salty, a similar thing happened to a guy from
"The Highroad" forum. He bought a K-22 from the Fugates and found out that it would only fire in "single action" and had a rough trigger. Note: the Adminstrator of "The Highroad" hinted quite pointedly to Matt Fugate that he should make good on the deal. The result was the usual from the Fugates --- nothing offered to make the deal good!!! The guy that was wronged was/is too nice of a guy to really complain. The thread was locked by the Administrator after he figured out that Matt Fugate was not going to offer to help the guy out.

I've tried to get the direct link to work but wasn't able to. If anyone is interested they can go the "The Highroad" forum and do a search for Fugate Firearms. Here is the link to The Highroad: http://www.thehighroad.org/index.php

I wouldn't believe a thing they say about the condition of their guns. I've seen too many documented instances where they've lied about the condition of guns that they've bought off the internet and are trying to resell.

Moronic, hypocritical assholes.

Also, the High Road story is par for the course. These two idiots want to build a reputation as premier internet firearms dealers? Then maybe they should practice what they preach, and not SPAM people, and maybe they should stop selling shit with a band-aid on it to customers.

Word gets around, boys, and despite all the bragadoccio about how much you love and benefit from the attention these threads afford you, believe me, getting the word out about unethical little insects like you guys is tantamount to a Public Service Announcement for the online gun community. Most people work hard for their money, you jerks, and they don't earn it only to be scammed by guys like you.

Twits.

Yup and John Fugate just jumped on an nickel M58 being sold on THR this morning. Reckon we can expect to see it on GB this afternoon.

BTW - Once I saw that the Fugates had arrived on THR I went into my profile and deleted my email address.
