Yup and John Fugate just jumped on an nickel M58 being sold on THR this morning. Reckon we can expect to see it on GB this afternoon.

And look who else was there, none other than cmannie. Roll Eyes

Yeah, I noticed a 3" 66 on Gun Broker the other day that was "relisted because buyer CMANNIE failed to complete the purchase". Seems as if he's still making friends and influencing people. . . . Big Grin

I notified the seller of the 58 to beware of Mr. Fugate. I'm sending some mail to Oleg, at least to let the mods know what kind of man Mr. Fugate is.
Anyone else want to send some email too so I don't sound too much like a crank?

All that needs to be done is to provide a link to the S&W Forum and this thread. Wink

Oleg's not going to need to read through a 26 page thread to know what this is about. There are plenty of insects out there like these guys.

Yeah, he nailed me once on a 2.5 in 66 I had posted here. "Bought" the gun within 20 mins after I had it posted then "mailed" payment 5 days later, then another 5 went by, no money, I emailed him and it was "Oh, I didn't know it didn't have the original box. I don't want it now." Even though it was clearly stated that the box was NOT original in the most so I suppose he magically chased down the money order he had already sent, grabbed it from the sorting machine and headed back home.

Cmannie is not on my Christmas card list Smiler

I hate jumping on the Fugate-bashing bandwagon Not because I have any particular love for him, but it just seems like everyone else is doing the job just fine! But he burned an internet acquaintance of mine about three weeks ago on a Model 10 (he didn't tell me ahead of time he was bidding on a fugate gun), so here goes:

He made a post at this forum at THR and is really getting lambasted. Of course, maybe someone probably made up the User ID, but it's still funny!

Ha! Sweet!

Reputation is a sticky thing, Johnny Boy, and you and your half-wit brothers are cast in stone now. The word is out, son.
Yeah, Johnny Boy, I told you didn't I? I told you a long time ago, he who laughs last, huh, bitch?

The word is out on Cmannie over there too.

Coincidently, Cmannie recently started posting on THR, after registering in 2005. Regards 18DAI.

I think he backed out on the purchase when he found the grips weren't numbered to the gun.

Also, it's interesting to note the comments in that thread by a member who managed to get himself banned here recently, talking about the thread not being very "High Road". Uh huh. Roll Eyes I don't recall your last post here being respectful at all.
Your post over there is Sour grapes, in a big way.

And Matt? Lamenting that the High Road is beginning to look like S&W forum? Oh, you don't have to worry about that, Matt. What you should worry about is when you start branching out to attempt harvest from other gun boards. I doubt there's not a gun board around that at least some members here are part of. Food for thought, Matt. You and your bubba made this bed, and now the chickens are coming home to roost. How's that for a mixed metaphor? Never mind, Matt. Ask an adult. They'll be able to explain it to you, assuming, of course, they're not related to you.

If you boys had just gone on your way and let this board and it's members be, we wouldn't have bothered with you. But no, you had to persist and piss me off.
And now I'm the guy leading the charge. I'm the Albatross around your neck. (Again, ask an adult.)

Odd, where's all the braggadocio about "loving the free advertising", huh, Matt?

Looks like they've landed over in the Colt Forum. I just ot a couple of PM's from Matt regarding a Colt Python Target I have for sale on the Colt Forum classifieds. Matt offered to pay my asking price for the Colt. After reading about thier dealings I'd rather keep my Colt than sell to them. BTW thier Colt forum name is fugotti.

Tks,
Jnariv

I'm a member at a bunch of forums, and I'm quite observant. Big Grin

It appears that the management at THR would rather squirrel away the negatives where they are less likely to be seen. I suspected that would be the case.

Now I am pissed...

Yep, just like machinstTx said, Brian Williams at THR is tidying up the thread and shilling for the Fugates, instead of letting people express their honest opinions.

http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=4710110#post4710110

Punctuation as well as honesty appears in short supply in that family. I'd like to make a nasty Kentucky joke, but crap if that isn't where I'm from and lived until 16, and that's where much of my family still is. I hope you all don't take them as representative of the good people of the area.

About 10 comments disappeared today, as well as any thing talking about prices turning down. Crap, these people argue in favor of the constitution and about the 2nd amendment, but can't be bothered to respect the 1st? That's horrible.

Also, I got two or three emails today from Matt Fugate, yelling at me for saying that buyers had problems with them (and I only talked about the ONE case I had personal experience with, I didn't repeat heresay). Needless to say, one reason I like gmail is the instant filtering capabilities, all stuff from fugate now goes straight to the trash and I don't have to see it. I read the first one, responded, then set up a filter and just trashed the others. Didn't open them.

I used to think people's mania about this issue was a little heavy, but now I see I was underestimating it. The disgusting thing is the way their post there is just meant to "talk up" prices. I'm well used to this practice - when I was on Wall St. this was what you did just before a panic set in and you could see it coming. How shallow and stupid. It doesn't work, and just undermines your credibility as a dealer/broker. How sad.
