I agree whole-heartedly!!

Just got off the phone with Dave after calling to order a hammer block and grips screw for my 13-3. Also wanted to get a couple sheets of the wax/vapor paper they ship the guns in. Tried to give him a credit card number but he refused - said there was no charge on my order. Try getting that kind of help, or any help for that matter, from the people at colt.

This is the kind of service that keeps me buying their guns and the reason I sold everything I owned with the "braying jackass" on the sideplate. Wink

I've had a good experience with the S&W customer service department. Once we figured out the exact part I needed, they sent it free. While I didn't expect this, it was nice.

I just ordered some parts on the website store. Will be interesting to see how that goes.

The Smith's are more expensive, but I don't mind paying it when you're treated right.

Purchased a new 460v and noticed rear sight was slightly crooked. Could not adjust and local gun shop sent it in and I had it back in 4 days from Wisconsin...no charge!

There phone operators are curteous (sp?) and professional. I've had them work on four different revolvers of mine in the last four years. If you get something refinished, they are pretty slow, but for action jobs they're only about two weeks. Of the four guns that they've worked on, two were beautiful and two had to go back. When those two came back the second time, they were top notch as well.

I guess my summary is good price and ok turnaround, but be prepared to be patient if things don't go smoothly the first time around. After all of this, I still like using them.

Take care!
