Left the house this morning with the intent of picking up *just* the 8 3/8" no dash M586 in the picture below, but ended up bringing home a nice M17-2 as well(also pictured).

The 586 has been shot quite a bit, but was well cared for. It's got a couple of small bare/thin spots in the bluing, but otherwise it's good to go. Seems to be a really good shooter too from the limited shooting I did.

The 17-2 has a lot of holster wear at the muzzle on both sides. Strong case colors on the hammer, but faded on the trigger. Also had a trigger shoe on it. Roll Eyes It's in excellent shape, and a really good shooter. It does seem to be a little picky about ammo though. I ran mostly Federal bulk pack through it, which it seems not to like. I guess the variance in rim thickness is too much for the tight tolerances on the gun. I'm going to do my best to wear this one out. Big Grin

machinisttx - my gun fund was empty after an unexpected Pre-30 last week, but it's obvious that you did more than your part. I love both of those. No need to say enjoy, because it's automatic with those two. PEN

I did my part last night, with all the fireworks going off, I take advantage of my private range and shoot with night sights, lasers and weapon lights, sounds just like all the neighbors fireworks.

I created 500 rounds of .45 ACP to feed the 1911's and 1917's.

I opened carried my 22-4 along with a double moon clip pouch all day yesterday.

No raised eyebrows, no caustic comments. In fact, I was at a cookout at my parents for a full hour before my brother said: "I just noticed that you are wearing a pistol".

Yep, it counts. I used to run a jet ski rental business(I didn't own it, just ran it). Drunks, fools, and plain old morons come out of the woodwork on holidays...

The only thing I miss about that job is all the fine women in bikinis. Big Grin
