What is the best speed strip for the J frame? I have a 342PD and carrying loose rounds in my pocket is not a good idea. Thanks.

The best is still the only, AFAIK: Bianchi.

I agree. That is what I have too. I just sold a set of new j-frame crimson trace laser grip that would have been nice for that revolver.

I think the Bianchi Speed strips are sitll available. They work really well. I carried two for several years in a front pocket & never had a cartridge come out unless I wanted it to. The nice thing about them besides being very concealable is they work for any .38 or .357. Frank

They're great and handy. I cut off the tab on the end, that way they can be used from either end and take up less room.

I've trimmed a couple down to 5 rounds to fit in a leather belt dump pouch. There is another maker. I've got a few marked "Hellweg" that I got off eBay with a holster (I think). They are inferior, they do not have the same "flex" as the Bianchi's and one broke.

I leave mine stock, but download by 1 round so they are easier to get a handle on.

Perhaps the man that created the 44/45 clips from the Enfield clips would endeavor to do the same thing with the 38/357 round?

I wonder if one of the numerous 8mm or 30 caliber style clips could be made to fit? This would give you the most durable of any strips yet.

Have you ever used Safariland speedloaders?

I prefer the Safariland speedloaders since you just pop the bullets deep enough into the cylinder and they release. IMO they also hold the bullets steadier so you have less rattling around.

However, there are many people who prefer the HKS. I can't knock their decision since I have used the HKS in the past, and never had a problem.

They are so cheap I would recommend getting a couple of each and playing with them for 6 months and then make an honest evaluation of what your needs are.

I seriously doubt you will want anything else after you do.
