Hey H Richard
Your 36-6 was made in 1989 and is one of 615 guns produced.

H Richard;
I actually saw the 36-6 at the Indy 1500 gun show (Indianapolis, IN), didn't buy it but thought seriously about it over the next few weeks. Went to the next one planning to buy one, but by that time the 60-4 came out. I actually prefer stainless for a field pistol (we often found ourselves hunting grouse in the rain and we all carried a revolver to take the snowshoe rabbits with while hunting grouse and to take a wounded grouse that hit the ground with a broken wing from shotgun fire). We were pretty accomplished shotgunners but occasionally a wounded grouse would require a second shot - they can run faster than we can and if you didn't stop them they would get into a briar patch that would take a bulldozer to get them out. However, they would let you get fairly close before taking off. Easy enough to clip their heads off with a revolver round. In Michigan, at the time, you had to carry the handgun on the outside of ANY clothing (couldn't be concealed). Under those conditions, stainless rules the day!
