One of the best 45 ACP revolvers that S&W ever built. The cut & lapped deep rifling is far more lead bullet friendly and the shortened cylinder seriously reduces the "jump" to the rifling. I've got two of these and they are by far the most accurate of the 1917, 1937, 1950, 1955, 22, 25, 26, 625 etc. types that are sitting in the safe. The only other one that comes even close, for some reason, is the new 22-4. (This is also the ONLY S&W-with-a-lock that I own and that is only because S&W never made this exact configuration without one.)
