I need some help! I have a S&W 648 and love the way it shoots. I want to dress it up a little bit with new wood Hogue grips. My question is? What frame type is the revolver also what frame type is a S&W 617

Both K frames. The 648 is a square butt. The 617 could be either square or round. What revision is it?
