I picked this up from a foum member last month (Thanks PO2313, you're a great guy to deal with.) and I thought I'd share a few pics. These are great for practicing your double action skills because you really don't have much of a choice but to shoot double action. I like it anyway Smiler

I picked up a 2"RB NY-1 last year and I must say it's a fine shooter. It has a great trigger and when I take new shooters out, they love it!
It can't be beaten (Well maybe by a 3"RB...?)

Stay Safe...

I have a 2" round butt that was modified back to SA/DA. I added a black Tyler T-Grip to the walnut grips and it's a fine shooter and carry gun. Nice pics; enjoy!

Tell me more about the scotchbrite and flitz treatment, if you don't mind? Does it match up with the bead-blasted finish? It's hard to tell from your pic. of you 4" whether it's brushed or bead-blasted.

Thanks Smiler

It is beaded. It's just a little bright here and there from holster wear. ladder13's are pretty awesome looking.

My 4 inch(also a dash 5) is brushed, excuse my poor photo skills. Not very clear pics.
I started with a scotchbrite, light strokes to remove heavy scratches, then finished with a little hand rubbed Flitz.
Your gun looks like some flitz would make it look factory. I don't think you can recreate the factory bead blast without actually bead blasting. The 2 and 3 inch guns were later models, when the NYPD switched to the "frosted" or bead blasted look.
Then again you can leave yours just as is,it's good to go, and enjoy it.
I'll take some better pics tomorrow if you like.

PS, didn't realize yours was bead blasted. Mine is a dash 5, is yours? If so, kind of odd.

Those are some really great looking 64s guys. I wouldn't mind buying one if I had the extra cash.

These are amazing revolvers. I have a 64-4 2" NY-1 and the DAO trigger action is fantastic! I would love to get my hands on a 3" version. Great pics ladder!
