I owned a 5" 357 made in 1953. I gave it to a friend that let me keep my plane on his private strip. I bought this one new in about 1970 and as it had no options sent it back to the factory for all options and had them engrave my name on the sideplate. If I recall, I belive the engraveing was about $66. I havent shot it a lot as I have some workhorse,s that I shoot more. Here it is with a matching 5" 29-2.

This one is a 27-2 and it's a little better than the picture.

And this is a 5 screw that is my favorite shooter by far.

Many issues with Photobucket this morning and this is the best I can do. A decent 5" I recently bought from another forum member. The service magnas (correct but not matching) are put away, as they were pristine.

From the bluing wear, this one spent most of its life in a holster. When I bought it, it had some ugly modified target stocks on it. It was shipped to a hardware company in New Mexico in January, 1956. A great shooter!
