Prices out here suck, but nearly every pre-lock Smith is a rarity, so it's simple supply and demand. Anyone who has been gun hunting long enough knows that if you let one pass by because the price was $200 too high, you might go another 2-3 years or more before you even see the same model for sale again. I've paid top dollar for guns that routinely sell in the Classifieds section of this board for 1/2 the price or less. But once you've had the Smith awhile, you forget the extra money you paid. Those great ones that got away - you don't forget those.
