Can someone post some pics of a combat masterpiece with some different grips on it.
I have a real nice one looks like it just came out of the box ,but the grips don't look so great, also took the grips off of a 586,ie tgt grips and they don't look like they belong on it. Thank you very much George M. Nam 68 to 69 and 72 to 73 |

Here’s a pair of CMs (22 & 38) with period correct target stocks.

Here's a Model 15-2 with Magna grips, which was the standard grip for the Model 15. I believe target grips were a special order or optional item.
What grips were on yours? This message has been edited. Last edited by: JayCeeNC, John S&WCA #1953 "Kill evil. It's how quality of life is achieved. Carry on."---Ted Nugent |

Here is my pre-Model 14 Target Masterpiece that was factory modified to a Combat Masterpiece in May 1950.

Thanks for the info folks, would have got back sooner but this Monday was Chemo-Therapy and I don't work too well the day or two befor and after.
I originally wanted to get a Mod.14 but the 15 was like new so as usual another Smith with a new home wanted or not. The grips on it now are service stocks from S&W they are new issue look laminated ugh, almost a greenish brown, the old service stocks are the typical browinishor rose wood color.Any ideas on the eagle grips? Next post will be on the newer model forum. Thanks George M. |
