After reading the serial number matching question it has prompted me to ask a question I've been meaning to for some time. Is the assembly number sequential to the manufacturing order and would be a more accurate indication as to time frame in which the gun was made. i.e., serial number 100 with assembly number 300 would be be the 300th gun made from SN 100 frame in stock?
