Found this listed as a S&W, 1914 .32 Long. No other info available

Not sure what model and or change it is but it appears to be in pretty nice shape.

Anyone care to venture an opinion on it's identity and a potential value?

Also if it's in original and or proper working order would it be safe/advisable to shoot with modern .32 Long ammo?

TIA

No, it's part of an estate auction

What's the serial number? What are the patent dates on the top of the barrel? It appears to be a Model of 1903, .32 HE, 2nd or 3rd change, perhaps, in very nice condition. Value $350 -$450 range, if it's original nickel finish, IMHO.

Sorry, no info available at this time other than photo and the description posted. I presume that since it is being called a "1914" that is the last/latest patent date stamped on the barrel.

Richard, If your presumption is correct about the "1914" then it would be a 4th or 4th change version of the Model of 1903 .32HE. Value estimates would be the same.

I think the small ejector knob indicates a gun lots later than 1914.
Prob a later 3rd Model.
