Well, this here is my second Smith and Wesson, the other being my 6 inch Model 28-2. Picked up this one at the local gunshow yesterday, $375

Barrel is nice and shiny. I do however have a concern, I was checking each of the chambers, and one of them had a small spot of corrosion, near the rear of the cylinder. Should I be worried or no? Thanks for the help.

I hope you were already aware that it's been poorly refinished. Someone polished way too much metal off before they reblued it. None of the lines are sharp. Also, the hammer and trigger should be case, not blue.

That said, it should make a most excellent shooter and a very fun gun that you won't have to worry about hurting.

As for a little corrosion, just take some oil and bronze wool to it. Then some cold blue to touch it up since it's not original anyway.

Yup, I noticed, I was looking for a .45 acp shooter-grade revolver, and this one seemed to fit the bill (being the only one there)

Be interesting to pull the grips and see the serial # and if it has a lanyard ring hole...1917, I assume. Neat guns, and good price!

MikeyL, I took off the grips, it does have the lanyard ring hole, but, the serial number is so faded you can barely tell there was one.
