I was advised by a fellow forum member of an article, which I believe to be in the July 1991 edition of the American Rifleman magazine, regarding the breakdown and/repair of the S&W five shot .38 DA Top Break revolver. I would gladly reimburse a donor for photocopies and mailing of the article. I am taking on a rebuild project and I understand that the article would compliment the info in my "Gunsmithing the Guns of the Old West" book. Thanks, Waistgunner Smiler

Thanks Gary, I can always use that one too. My revolver is the standard style with the exposed hammer. Lance

You are in luck, I found my copy of the artical. It was July 1991 of the American Rifleman by Pete Dicky titled "Smith & Wesson Break-Open "Double Action" Revolvers". It was stuck in one of my old assembly books. It covers the .32 & .38 S&W calibers. It has a really good drawing with all the parts in relation to their functional components along with the parts list.
