You're a couple of days behind my April 15, 2008 request. The situation right now is slowly but surely.

I have 8 letter requests in queue right now. They were mailed in on 4/15, 5/28, 6/25, 7/7, 7/10, 7/19, 7/24 and 8/6. All checks have cleared my bank, so now I just wait.

It doesn't really matter how long it takes, one, two, three, or even six months, they get here when they get here. As long as I know it's going to take a long time, I'm good with it. Heck, I waited approximately six months for replacement medals from the Army. Actually, that was much shorter than the nine month wait they indicate so I was surprised and happy.

EDIT UPDATE: Today, 8/22/08, I received a letter in response to my request mailed 4/15/08. FWIW

Thanks for the update, I feel better now. I don't mind waiting a long time, as long as it gets here eventually. I was getting ready to blame it on my mailman, my neighbor, or my wife (not Mr. Jinks). Smiler

My letter that was requested 4-18-08 arrived today. That was 4 months and one week. No problem, well worth the wait. Esp. to read that the gun that I had lettered cost $13.75 new (In 1892).
