on the bottom of the left grip frme is 356. about a half I ch away is a diamond stamp. and near the top is stamped 33.

Thanks for the information on the barrel serial number location.
You could be right about them making a set of grips as mine are convex where the medallion would be, and while the walnut is very good quality with nice figure and mineral streaking, the checkering isn't up to normal S&W standards with the top of the checkering pattern not well done at all. These grips do fit the gun very well and were obviously made for this gun. I wish I had a digital camera to take pics, hopefully soon.
