I found an old HE .44 special in a pawn shop. It had a patent date of 1914 on top of the barrel. 5" barrel, original style stocks that were worn but not chipped, appeared to be non-factory nickle as the hammer and trigger were nickled as well as the gun. Is this worth $350.00? Anyone interested in it?

Here is the email, not sure why you did not receive it.

"Gentlemen, this gun is at John's Gun and Pawn, Clayton, GA (706) 782-1008.
He also has a 1917 of some sort and a small frame Colt .32/20 if you are
interested in those. John is not internet savvy so do not expect to get
photos sent to you. He is an honest man to deal with, has a good number
of Winchesters too.

Tell him Bruce gave you the info.

Regards, Bruce"

My thanks to forum member ColbyBruce for the information on the 44HE up in North Georgia at John's Gun and Pawn Shop. It turned out to be a 3rd issue of 1926. The price was right at $350. The gun has a re-nickle job that was buffed a bit too much, however it is in excellent mechanical condition with a bright bore and chambers. All numbers match , even the stocks. It will make an excellent shooter. It was a great find.Photobucket

I am glad you like it, I am still kicking myself for not buying it and leaving it there in the house to have a big bore to deal with the bears.

I enjoyed meeting you and your friend. My wife is certain we are all crazy.

I got three sides of the house stained, all I have left is the north side overlooking the valley and all the trim. Wonderful vacation.
