Well I really don't have anything definitive to add here about the pistolas but I do really love the movie.

I love it so much that my persona and alias for SASS is "No Stinking Badges". I dress as a Mexican peasant with crossed bandoliers of 45 colt ammo, a 92 Winchester and a pair of nickel SAA's.

It's hard to tell, but in the photo the pistol looks to be a bit larger than a .38. Might I suggest that the "big" gun might be a Colt New Service in either 44 or 45, or maybe a Hand Ejector 44 2nd Model? Hard to tell....

After reading this thread I rented the movie. Pretty sure those are Colts. While the movie was interesting those had to have been the worst choreographed fight scenes I've ever seen. The freaking Power Rangers do a better fight scene.

Walnutred,

Well, the fight in the bar wasn't the typical Hollywood fight we see today. I think it was pretty realistic.

By the by, besides commenting on the guns, anyone notice the holsters?

While I admit my observations and participation in bar fights is limited, it is not non-existent. The moves were correct but the timing was way off. Yeah, I am continually amazed at todays fight scenes where a chair is broken across someones face and their hair is not even messed up.

Two of them here, I believe the 3rd was different, I'll find a picture of it when I have more time.

the gun in 2nd photo looks like a Police Positive to me. Too small compared to the old timer's hands to be an Official Police.

That's probably an Official Police. The frame is all wrong for a Police Positive or Special. Barrel seems to be five inches.

Front sight seems to rule out a New Service.
