Well part of my plans worked out today Big Grin

1st thing this morning I made the deal for this 1926 Wolf & Klar engraved 3rd Model. Serial # 41147. I pulled the Sambar Stag Magnas off of it and relocated my Steerhead Pearls to this gun. I am ready for the BBQ Now Big Grin This was thegun I wanted most that was at the Show...

Then I found these 2 old Catalogs on a table and had to have them They are Mint. Anyone care to venture as to thier Value?

And Finally the Deal that paid for my Trip. I gave the ole boy some of that Southern Charm of Lee Jarrett or David Carroll Big Grin and talked him out the other N Frame Grip Adapter and set of Early grips. The old boy thought I was Crazy paying more than $100 for the complete set. He was happy as a lark.

I picked up this M&P 38 also Serial # S996494 short actioned Lockwork. It is near mint

One more Day to go and a couple other deals in the works.

Dan M

Dan, An interesting gun. Did the seller have a factory letter? Wolf & Klar were famous for the Texas Pawn Shop engraved guns, however there were 7 guns ordered by W&K in i931 in close serial ranges to yours that were drop shipped to Rudolph Kornbrath, in the white, by S&W for engraving and then were returned to S&W for finishing in nickel and shipment to W&K. They all letter as shipped as plain guns, in nickel, no engraving, due to sloppyness by S&W shipping clerks, if you go by the shipping records. I have owned 5 of those 7 over the years, and had to dig out the info from S&W archiuves to verify the special order and get them lettered as factroy engraved by Kornbrath. I don't know who engraved your gun, but it wasn't Kornbrath, however it's a very good example of W&K's Ft. Worth engraving. Now you need to find a pink holster so you can wear it to the Yuma Show and make Larry G. jealous! Congrats, Ed.

Can I borrow your Pink Holster? Big GrinBig Grin

Dan, I love those Pimp guns! Every saloon & pawn shop in Tucson used to have dozens hanging on the walls befor WW2. If you have two of them, you will need a double pink rig. Mine is only a single rig Besides the lace tie down is torn and needs repair. It got caight in Larry's purse when he was trying a quick draw!

Dan, those catalogs are fairly common - usually sell on eBay for about $35 to $50 range, if they are original and not copies. Ed.

Dan,

I think I need to follow Ed's advice and shadow you at every gun show you go to!

Damn dude! You come up with some very interesting guns and gear.

Discretion gets the better of me: I must ask about Ed's pink holster; he's been busting my balls so much, I need some to ammo launch a counter-bust! Big Grin

BTW, it was Larry who told me that Ed was really the one who got tied up in pink lace during a quick draw.

We may need to get the Myth Busters team in on this one. Big Grin

Best,

Michael

Wow, Dan. I haven't had a day like that at a show in a while. A couple coming up back to back close by so there's hope.

Oh, and if that short action transition decides it needs a new home, I'll put a slot on hold. Big Grin
Thanks for the info.

Way to go Dan. What show are you at?
You need my W&K 38 M&P to keep them company...
Ed hit the catalogs about dead on- both are common. The 85th looks like it has the price list. Probably stapled in the back cover, or believe it or not, attached with a straight pin!

I charge royalties on that, donchaknow- just mail a ck Wink

Ed, Is that pink holster patent leather? Only a brute would wear pink cowhide...... Big Grin There is a simple fix for the tie down- use one of your garters. If you attach it with a snap, you can change it out to match different outfits. Always acthethorize properly..... Big Grin

Dan:

Although the pimped-out W&K is interesting - I agree that those grips and the adapter are the deal of the show.....

Congrats!

Dan, Lee, Michael, etc. You're all just jealous of my customized accessories! So there! Lee, Use my garter? How gauche! I need it to conceal my S&W lipstick, so Kobold doesn't steal it. Ed.
