Also at the auction yesterday I picked up a 1st Model, 32 HE. The serial number is 5795. I know that production started in 1896. Can anyone tell me if this is a pre 1899 gun?

Thanks

Gary

You'll probably have to pay Mr. Jinks for that date. The book says s.n. 1 - 19712 1896 to 1901.

I was hoping someone had one that was close to mine and had a date. I am going to sell it and hope it is an antique. I am pretty sure that it is
