Gentlemen - After a recent death in the famiy, I was presented with a mod 15-3. Never having owned a model 15 (I own a 38/44, mod 1917, several model 10's and M&P's) I was curious as to the mod 15, it's value, whether or not the grips are original to the firearm, etc? Any and all feedback would be appreciated. Again, enjoy the photo's, I am not a photographer:

Yep, you might want to post over on the other side. The grips are of the right vintage to be stock to the gun - they were an extra-cost option you could order. They do appear to have more usage wear than the rest of the gun, so they may have been added later.

It is in pretty good shape besides the grip wear, and barring any other hidden problems, would likely get $400 in today's market if you wait for a motivated buyer. Less in some parts of the country. A bit of it depends upon where you are, and how you sell it - face to face, auction, gun show, etc.
