I'm looking for a cross draw holster with a fairly radical cant to it. Most that I have found carry closer to vertical. I've been using a Galco paddle holster that has an adjustable degree of cant. I like the angle I can adjust it to, but the large paddle gets uncomfortable after driving a few hours. I find that cross draw makes access much easier while seated in a car. Basically I'm looking for something that would be comfortable for long road trips.

Thanks in advance.

I like the Galco Phoenix. It is a two position, either strong side or crossdraw. It may not have enough rake for you though if you are looking for a lot. I use it to carry a 5" N frame and it does quite well.

Here ya go. Don't have/want one but I love their j-hook IWB model. FWIW, I use a shoulder holster when in a vehicle for a long time.

Be safe.

I am considering getting this holster. Cant switches from a regular crossdraw to a riding crossdraw.

Look at the Mernickle www.mernickleholsters.com/fc/fc3.html

I have two (K & N frames). They are perfect for driving.

My N frame rig is about page 4 in his customer photo section.

If you can find a crossdraw with as radical a cant as most SOB holsters you might have something. Anything less I'm just not sure. The Mernickle cross looks close.

Bianchi's Cyclone for the 2-4" barreled S&Ws whether it be J,K or L frame, you can carry strong side or crossdraw,I have these holsters for my model 36 2",my 19-5 4" and also doubles for my 4" 586,this a good holster for driving with a 4" K or L frame for about $50,don't know if it's got the cant your looking for in the crossdraw position but I can drive 8-12 hours comfortably with this piece of leather in the crossdraw position.

I'm also a fan of Bianchi's Cyclone. Great holster.
You didn't say if you carry a revolver or a semi-auto. If its a wheelgun, try contacting Milt Sparks about their HSR model. I have one for a 5" N-frame and it carries the gun in an almost horizontal position.

I have a Fobus Roto holster and a Blackhawk CQC Serpa that are both adjustable and can be worn crossdraw for driving. They don't conceal well when you have to exit the car though.

Here's one that can also be snapped over the seatbelt for those long drives. Remove and use your side holster when leaving the car.

I like their Phoenix model, myself, but Galco's three-slot "cop" can be used cross-draw, as well.
