This is what I carried "without permission" when i was in my twenties, about 50 years ago. (I'm 75 now). after about two years, I bought and carried a Mod 38. Later for years I used a lightweight Walther PPK. Now here in Nebraska, I have "permission" with my CCW. I carry mostly a 342PD. Practice usually with a 442. For practice, handloads Lyman 358156 & 3.5 bullseye. Carry with factory Speer 135gr GDHP.

Maybe you should go back to your youth. That is still a perfectly good defensive weapon, safe to carry, and effective with 158gr loads, preferably SWC. The sights are a bit narrow, but you are probably used to them. I know I am.

I wish you would talk my dad into getting a computer - he's 73 and brags about being "computer free" - I like your comment about permission . . . I understand.
What a fine old revolver, comforting. |
