I have won through an online auction a leather S&W holster that is Smith and Wessons's Model 44 "Hugger" the part number on the back of the holster is 44 32(Model 44 Type 32). It is probably from the late 70's early 80's and I am trying to determine what revolver the Type 32 of the 44 Hugger fits. Can anyone help? I haven't receive the holster yet but I was told it will fit a 2" snubby J frame. However, I have an original S&W pamplet with a fit chart for some of there leather holsters that was in the box with paperwork for the S&W Model 60 from 1978 that I recently purchased. According to the pamplet the Model 44-62 Hugger fits the Model 60, so I am trying to determine what revolver the 44-32 will fit? Can anyone familair with these holsters or who has an old fit chart for S&W leather holster out of the late 70' early 80's help me? I would appreciate it so I can ID what revolver this holster was made for. Please email me at mtice1@new.rr.com with any information you can offer. Thanks

My 1970 catalog lists the type 32 as fitting a 2" K frame.
