I don't need an excuse to not shake hands with a stranger. Someone I don't know who is overly familiar sets off alarm bells in my head.

Never tie up your strong hand without a bug on the weak side. Also, get in the habit of dropping anything you might be carrying to free up both hands when presented by a threat. Watch how a good cop stands when things begin to heat up.

Thanks LT. I've been my hand position more thought lately. If I'm wearing IWB strong side, I try to keep that hand empty when I can. Walking the dog at night? Left hand holds the leash, etc.
