Coach or Trafalgar belts will work just fine. They don't look like typical gun belts; they're for regular folks yet support just about anything you can hang on your waist IWB or OWB.
Just about every outlet mall has a Coach Factory Store. Buy 'em there and save a few bucks. Be safe. |

I have a couple from K&D Holsters that I really like. Check them out at www.kdholsters.com. The owner, Kevin, is retired Navy and I really like helping our veterans too! My belts are of great quality and craftsmanship and the prices are super too.

Anyone have experience with Galco? My local store has one that I think is the right size so I may go for it. Any recommendations or horror stories?

If you get a Galco gunbelt, buy it in a size that you will wear a long, long time...
cause you can't wear it out! The only problem that I ever had with the ones I have...is that they are very heavy, and if you sit a while (traveling in a car/truck) they can cut into you. To alleviate this on any heavy gunbelt- just loosen it a hole or two. _______________________________________________________ Barney- "Nip it, nip it, nip it!!!" Andy- "Oh now Barn'..." |

I wear a relatively cheap Carhart belt. My holster and pants don't take the wide stiff holster belts well. And since the belt is sometimes seen by people I want it to look normal.

Totally agree, that's the point. I have seen some folks wearing "gun belts" that are so obvious that you don't even need to see the gun/holster to know they're toting. Suspect we'll see some idiot wearing one with cartridge loops in the not too distant future. Be safe. |

I usually opt for the same course of action that Big D does, with my particular fondness being for Trafalgar. Sometimes you can find these belts steeply discounted at TJ Maxx or Marshalls. Otherwise, they are a bit expensive. I paid 300 dollars for my alligator skin (natch) Trafalgar on special order from a men's wear store. To be fair, it was a hell of a nice belt and held up to carrying an alloy frame Comander size 1911 (Kimber CDP) and BHP variously for a couple of years. It even survived an accidental trip or two through a washing machine. (I carried both my weapon and one or two double cell mag pouches OWB under a sports coat and no one noticed them using this belt.)
However, if you wear your shirt untucked or a cover garmet (or simply dress casually), someone is either not going to notice a blatant gun belt or else think that you are more into rock climbing. I personally like the Specter "Last Restort" belt as a bargain option for a synthetic (somewhat rugged looking) belt. They're around 30 dollars, but you'll need pants with very wide belt loops. |

I have 4 Galco belts the contoured ones are exceptional. I really like the 1.5" tapered to 1" and just had them shortened after loosing a few pounds.

Google looper leather & will find the belt your looking for. Great belts at bagain prices. You guys who are wearing coach or trafalgar are missing the boat the nothing like a good gun belt. Only issues I have with looper belts is the hardware I change that & wind up with a nice gun belt. The other alternative is have a holster maker make you a belt which will be much more costly.

Dillon offers excellent quality leather gunbelts (1.25" or 1.5") at reasonable prices ($40 - $50). If you scrimp on your belt, you'll feel it at the end of the day.
Big bang, much smash'em. |

The Belt Man. They do NOT look like gun belts.
I wear my Wilderness belt only when wearing untucked shirts, so I do not care that it looks like what it is. No one but me will see it anyway. Has anyone used 5-11 leather gunbelts? My local uniform shop has a bunch and they seen fairly sturdy but the tip is cut funny and has "5-11" stamped on it which seems a little tacky to me.
