Ever thought of the slender profile of the S&W 908 and 3913 for your concealed carry weapon? Pictured is my 908 in blue.

I had the 13 shot version and I made mine even more slender when I had it by taking down the slide release a few steps...really helped in the pants....

Can't get past the grip on those things.

I have its big brother (915) and it sits unused. When I reach for a semi auto I reach for a Military & Police. S&W's best semi-auto effort. Ever.

I have a 3914. For various reasons, I don't personally favor the S&W style safety arrangement, but it is a nice little pistol.

Bought a Kahr P9 instead.

Several ergonomic factors just don't work for me.

+1 on the 3913. Doesn't get any better than that. Regards 18DAI.

Not just the thickness, but the angle in relation to the bore line is all wrong.

Make mine an M&P as I do not miss the departure of the DA/SA autos at all.

The M&P's don't fit my big hand right - at all. Nor do the glocks. Great guns, just not for this guy. The array of S&W DA/SA pistols I have held just make a marriage to my hand - don't know why - they just do.
This is why so many pistol manufacturers have been successful - we all love something sometimes the same, and sometimes different.

I have the pre-rail 3953TSW, which is a cosmetically enhanced DAO version of the 3913. It's quite a shooter!

It's very slim, but its bore IS a bit higher than I personally prefer!

The 908 grip length ought to be about 3/4" to an inch shorter to make it easier to conceal.

Precisely.

Everyone rants about the concealability of the 908/3913 based on the thickness of its slide (which is less than the M&P). Well, that extra 1/4" of width disappears under a loose fitting untucked shirt and no one notices it.

What they seem to forget is that the extra length of the 908's grip is significantly longer (and harder to hide) than the M&P's and it carries less ammunition in it. Longer, squared grips stick out like a provervial sore thumb as you move around.

There’s too much agonizing/scrutinizing/contemplation to the point of paralysis of analysis. Find a handgun that fits your requirements. Carry it and put an end to the what ifs.
